They are called Pao De Queijo, AKA, Brazilian Cheese Puffs. They are primarily tapioca flour and parmesan with a few other ingredients thrown in.
Made this particular recipe with my 4H cooking class kiddos today. Oh my GAWSH. So yummy…and great for those of you on a gluten free path. We have a restaurant not far from here that specializes in them, and these were very close to the ones I buy there for $1.50 a piece.
I used a really great shredded parm from Trader Joe’s and it melted beautifully.
